Over 500 people filled out the form saying they were interested in a job and/or investing.
The first priority will be in recruiting key software talent (primarily architects) so we can get the building process underway.
Expect to hear from us in less than 2 weeks from now if you are in that category.
It would be great to have a wallet key that the user can create. Then he could simply make something he has already memorized his key! Like a physics equation or a line from Macbeth. So easy to retain only in mind, and quite secure, with an easy hint option. Much better than being assigned a random string of words (though that is better than a random string of characters).
I'll be interested if it's possible to add some features:
1. Holdings and transactions should be just as private and un-traceable as cash greenbacks or silver coins. I understand that the government has an interest in collecting taxes and preventing crimes, but the users also have an interest in privacy for all legal activities. The monetary system should prioritize the needs of the users, over the needs of the government.
2. If the Internet goes down, it should be possible to access the system by surface mail or carrier pigeon.
3. Tokens should ideally represent some tangible, real-world value. Perhaps the digital currency could represent gold, or a basket of commodities, or energy, or labor. Yet its value should not rely on a single guarantor, but a distributed system of trust. I want stable purchasing power, not wild speculative volatility.
